A Night to Slay For is Outwrite Slaying

We’re so happy and proud to report that A Night to Slay For by Petra Pine is the winner of The OutWrite Scary Awards 2026 in the Best Debut category. Big congrats to Petra for this win!

The OutWrite Scary Awards is hosted by Slashic Horror Press with the purpose of celebrating indie LGBTQIA+ horror. Having Petra’s horror comedy novella about messy snowed-in sapphic women awarded is beyond amazing and we’re grateful that her hard work is being recognized. We also want to congratulate the winners in the other categories. Go and check them out at this link: https://www.slashichorrorpress.com/outwritescary

This was such a beautiful ending for this Pride Month, but don’t forget, reading and supporting queer books is important all year long. Thank you, Slashic Horror Press, for the award and for promoting indie LGBTQIA+ horror.

We can’t wait to see more of Petra’s writing in the future! But in the meantime, check out A Night to Slay For.
