Secrets, lies, and deadly history come together in this dark urban fantasy novel with a spoonful of mystery and a pinch of horror, inspired by Croatian folk tales.

Working with high schoolers is hard, but harder still when they hide body parts under their beds.
Nana’s responsibility in supervising magical teens who need to hide their supernatural nature from the rest of the Rijeka City will be tested to the breaking point, just like her headache, when an ungrateful task lands in her arms. She needs to discover who’s missing limbs found under the cypress trees, but also, what threats to her students lurk in the shadows. And it has to be done while ensuring that regular humans stay in the dark about the fact that creatures like štrigas, krsniks, and Slavic gods aren’t just a part of folklore.
Of course, if those magical students don’t end up drawing each others’ blood first… or Nana defenestrates them.
