As a publishing house founded by two writers and editors, we’re excited to work with you on assessing your manuscript before you query it with agents, editors, and trad pub houses, or before you embark on your self-publishing adventure.
If your grammar’s good enough, and you’re just looking for a few guidelines and an outsider’s professional input regarding your story, we’ll be more than happy to give you a gentle nudge in the right direction in written format (10 pages).

For copy editing and manuscript assessment, we specialize in the adult fiction category, while proofreading is available for YA, children’s, illustrated books, and comics as well.
Each service we offer, other than proofreading, is available for fiction in Croatian, English (US), Bosnian, Montenegrin (Latin), and Serbian (Latin). Proofreading is available for Croatian, English (US), and Bosnian, and it includes non-fiction offers.
PSA: None of the above applies to manuscripts currently in the works with our publishing branch, Shtriga Books. If you’re publishing with us, we will never ask a cent from you! It’s our job to do the editing and prepping for titles under Shtriga Books.

OUR EDITORS
Vesna Kurilić is a multiple SFERA & Artefakt award-winning author of speculative fiction. She was a part of the editorial team of the award-winning project “Decameron 2020: Stories from the Quarantine”, alongside Ana Cerovac and Antonija Mežnarić (which won the ESFS award for The Best Internet Publication in 2021). She’s worked as an editor and proofreader on hundreds of short stories, published in numerous publications such as anthologies (Decameron 2020, Slavic Supernatural), magazines (Morina kutija, an online magazine for speculative fiction), as well as multiple novellas and novels published through Shtriga.
Antonija Mežnarić is a writer and an editor, specializing in horror fiction. Alongside Vesna Kurilić and Ana Cerovac, she worked on the award-winning project “Decameron 2020: Stories from the Quarantine” (which won the ESFS award for The Best Internet Publication in 2021). She was a recipient of the Ladies of Horror Fiction grant for women writing horror in 2021, and is currently a lead editor at Morina kutija, an online magazine for speculative fiction.
She’s proud of all the stories she worked on and helped publish in anthologies, magazines and novels.
